What is the difference between raw footage and edited videos?
Raw footage includes dozens of unnamed, untouched and unstabilized video clips, and watching them is not as enjoyable until they are put together into an edited movie. When we do editing, we review all the raw footage from all the cameras and choose the best moments, angles, reactions, adjust colors, exposure, stabilize some clips, create smooth transitions, sync the audio with video, add the title, credits, etc. Instead of looking through dozens of raw clips from different cameras, you will enjoy professionally, creatively and beautifully edited films. If you are planning to edit the video yourself, please keep in mind that editing is not as easy as it seems and you need to have special skills, experience, talent, lots of time and professional software that costs over $1000. We understand that your budget may not allow you to hire us to do the editing and we would like to add that it's definitely better to have raw footage filmed by a professional videographer than amateur video or no footage at all.

How is the original sound recorded on the cameras different from your mic add-ons and external sound recordering?
If you're getting the "Fully Edited", "Signature Cinematic" or "For Video Lovers" package, you don't need to worry about audio quality as those packages come with multiple mics and sound recording devices that will allow us to capture the best possible audio at all times. However, if you're getting the "Basic", "Popular" or "Highlight Only" package, those come with just the original sound recorded on the cameras (such as this Foothills United Methodist Church video). Usually, everything can still be heard clearly. However, it's not as good as it can be if we use an external sound recorder along with professional microphones, especially if there is wind, echo or other background noises. The external sound recorder would connect directly to your DJ's sound system and the quality would become a lot more clear, studio-like. Included below is an audio sample that should give you a pretty good idea of the difference between the three sound options: built in camera mic (included) vs. external camera mic ($100) vs. external sound recorder ($250). Ideally, it's best to have all three for $350. That way, during the editing process, we can sync all the audio tracks with the video, properly balance it and choose whichever track is best at each appropriate moment (or use them all at the same time). The extra editing time associated with the above tasks is already included with the $350 upgrade.

What's the difference between a video booth and guest interviews?
Both of the above options are offered for the same purpose - to collect personal and touching video messages from your family and friends. However, there is some difference in how it's done. Video booth is a continuously running camera mounted on a tripod with a sign: "Please leave a message for the newlyweds". It's usually set up during cocktail hour and it works best if your DJ/MC makes a brief announcement to let your guests know it's there. In addition to leaving messages, some guests enjoy making funny faces, dancing, jumping and even singing in front of the video booth so the footage can be really fun to watch. When we do guest interviews, your videographer comes up to each table during dinner and asks guests to leave a video message for the newlyweds. Some people agree and some people don't but, generally speaking, it's easier to collect more messages this way, because we approach each person directly. For the best possible outcome, we recommend hiring us to provide both of the above services at the same time. That way people who did not have a chance to leave a message at the video booth during cocktail hour will be able to do it during dinner interviews. This would allow us to collect the maximum number of messages. If these services are booked together, the price for both of them is $250. If booked separately, each service is $150. Please note that we have no control over the timeline or your guests and their whereabouts so we have no way of knowing how many people will agree to leave a video message. Below are a couple of videos that should give you a good idea of both options and help you determine what's best for you.
